The AVTpro Subtitling Basics exam is designed to test the linguistic and cultural knowledge of your working languages as well as the basics of subtitling practice with respect to subtitling constraints and quality requirements.
There are four tasks in total in the exam covering the following areas:
Upon successfully completing the AVTpro Subtitling Basics exam, you are eligible to register for the AVTpro Subtitle Translation and/or the AVTpro Subtitle Creation Certification.
When you sign up for the exam, you will be provided with a unique link that you will have to use to take the exam.

Within minutes of you completing the test, you will receive an email with your scoring as well as confirmation of your eligibility to register for the AVTpro Subtitle Translation certification and/or the AVTpro Subtitle Creation certification, if applicable. As soon as you receive the notification, you will be able to register for either of the two certifications.
