The AVTpro Subtitle Creation Exam is only available to those who have already passed the AVTpro Subtitling Basics Exam. There is only one task in the AVTpro Subtitle Creation Exam which consists of subtitling, including the timecoding and translation, of three to four short scenes from English audio into your target language.
In order to handle the level of difficulty of the AVTpro Subtitle Creation Exam, you need not only be well versed in subtitle translation, but also in all the more technical aspects of subtitling that involve text timing, positioning, shot changes, handling on-screen text and hard-of-hearing elements, etc. We also strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with the Style Guide of your working language before sitting the exam.
When you sign up for the exam, you will be provided with a unique link that you will have to use to take the exam. Remember, this exam is only available to those who have already passed the AVTpro Subtitling Basics Exam.
